Boudoir Marathon Day FAQs

What’s included in my session?

Sessions are an hour long, and include the following:

  • 30 minutes of professional hair + makeup by TheGirls Beauty Shop

  • 30 minutes of photography by Crystal Ritchson Photography

  • One wardrobe change during the photography session

  • Light refreshments to enjoy during your experience

  • A beautiful, private studio space (located in Vista, CA)

  • A digital album with a minimum of 20 stunning images delivered within three weeks

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing something that makes you feel confident, beautiful, and like yourself. That could be classic lingerie, a favorite bodysuit, a cozy oversized sweater, robe, or even something sentimental like your partner’s shirt - whatever helps you feel empowered and comfortable in your own skin.

Bring two or three outfit options if you’d like, and we can mix and match during the shoot to capture different looks and moods. The most important thing is that you feel amazing in what you’re wearing!

Will it be private?

Yes! Your session will absolutely be private. It’ll just be the photographer and hair and makeup artist in the studio with you. We’re both there to help you feel comfortable, confident, and completely supported throughout the experience. Once your hair and makeup are done, it’s a relaxed, fun, and empowering time focused entirely on you!

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! If having someone there to cheer you on will make you feel more comfortable and confident, you’re more than welcome to bring an adult friend or loved one with you. Sometimes having your personal hype person nearby makes the experience even more fun and empowering!

What if I’m running late?

We get it, life happens sometimes. If you’re running late, we just ask that you give us a quick heads up! We’ll share our contact info beforehand so you can reach us easily. Please keep in mind that we’ll have multiple sessions scheduled that day, so a late start may mean we need to shorten either your hair and makeup time or the photography portion to stay on track. We definitely want you to get the full experience, so we recommend arriving a few minutes early, if you can!

What if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel, you can do so directly through the scheduling confirmation email you received when you booked, up to one week before your session date. Please note that the initial retainer you paid is non-refundable, as it secures your spot and covers preparation for your session.

If you’d like to reschedule, you’re welcome to do so if there are still other time slots available that day. Just let us know as soon as possible so we can make adjustments on our end!

When will I get my images?

You’ll get a full digital gallery of your edited images within three weeks! The gallery will include at least 20 images, and both looks from the session.
