Since I was a little girl, I’ve been captivated by the magic of little moments. let’s work together to capture your magic.

My approach

Raise your hand if you’ve had photo sessions where you stand and look at the camera, say cheese, and then move on to the next pose where you look at the camera and say cheese (and so on … ). Is your hand raised? Mine is too. But that’s not how we’re going to do things here.

What we don’t want:

  • Forced poses

  • Fake smiles

  • Stress

  • Matchy-matchy outfits

  • Only technically “perfect” photos

What we DO want:

  • Fun

  • Playful

  • Go-with-the-flow

  • Connection with each other, not the camera

  • Genuine emotion

We’ll tell your story authentically.  You’ll wear your own clothes, not something I tell you to wear (although I am totally down to help with ideas). You will focus on your people, not my camera. When you see your photos, you’ll remember what was happening when that photo was taken. The images will look and feel like who you are.

That sounds great! Now who’s the woman behind the camera?

I’m a wife and a mother of two boys. I grew up in small-town Illinois and always dreamed of living on the west coast. I have my bachelor’s degree in Psychology, so I love hearing people’s personality types (I’m an introverted ENFP, Enneagram 4, and my strengths are Positivity, Connectedness, Adaptability, Includer, and Arranger … because I know you’re wondering). I have a master’s degree in Human Resources, and worked in that field for over a decade. I enjoy running (albeit slowly), and I’ve done a few half marathons and one full (never again). I love music, and going to see an artist or band that I love in concert makes me feel alive. I’m a big fan of onesie outfits, so you’ll often find me in overalls or dresses or jumpsuits or rompers. I consider “busy” as a four-letter word rather than a moniker of success, and think it’s important to incorporate rest/chill time in our list of family activities. I’m big on grammar, even though I frequently break the rules. I can come off shy, but really, I’m just not the best small-talker. On average, I read about one book a week, and I almost always have my kindle with me.

More things I love:

  • My family

  • The beach

  • Homemade popcorn and rosé

  • Thrifting

  • Traveling

  • Making playlists

  • Slow weekend mornings

  • Podcasts

  • Cuddling

  • Sunsets

  • Dance parties

Like what you see?
